Clarinettist and Creative Music Practitioner
Lucy Rugman has always been fascinated by the way performing and live music can touch us. From a young age, Lucy Rugman found a love for connecting with others through music and performing and after many years of dedicated study, it became clear that this was her purpose in life. Lucy performs regularly with the leading orchestras in Sweden as well as in major theatres, performing musicals. As part of her active anti-oppression work, Lucy is committed to performing diverse repertoire, unlearning internal biases and toxic feminism.
Lucy also designs bespoke projects for classical music institutions and Special Educational Needs Schools. She is a leading specialist in helping young people with additional needs communicate through music. Live music is a powerful tool for expression that helps us relate to the world around us and our fellow human beings. See more under Projects - Fritt spelrum.
